Backstory, Yashiro was born in Floaroma Town, Sinnoh, where flowers bloomed almost year-round and the scent of honey filled the air. His father, Kawajiri Haruto, grew up in Johto near Azalea Town. Haruto was a botanist interested in Apricorn trees, medicinal herbs, and how grass-type Pokémon interacted with forests. He eventually moved to Sinnoh to help with botanical research in Floaroma Meadow. His mother, Mizuki Kawajiri, was also from Floaroma Town, working with researchers who studied how Pokémon pollinated flowers and supported the region's ecosystems. Their home felt more like a greenhouse than a house, overflowing with flowers, herbs, berries, and carefully labeled pots. Researchers, rangers, and traveling botanists often visited, filling Yashiro's childhood with stories of distant places and rare Pokémon.
